A resilient Italy eventually took control of a lively match to beat Romania. Despite a goalless first half, Tommaso Baldanzi’s stunning strike early in the second half broke the deadlock. Romania fought back soon after, Luca Andronache restoring parity, however, substitute Cristian Volpato came to Italy’s rescue to secure all three points.
