Japan’s Hidemasa Morita took a ball at the arc and drew three USA defenders, leaving Daichi Kamada alone on the left. Morita squared the ball and Kamada hit a first-timed curling shot around Matt Turner’s diving attempt to the right side of the net. The goal was initially called offside but was awarded after a VAR review.
