M/S as the two teams walk out onto the pitch for the football match. L/S huge crowds. Various shots of Charlton in action, he shoots but the ball goes over the bar. C/U man in crowd. C/U small boy in crowd. M/S as Leggatt shoots the ball which flashes past England goalkeeper Ron Springett and into the net for Scotland goal. L/S of crowds cheering. M/S as the ball centres from the left, players jump for it. M/S as the ball is headed towards the goal, Haffey saves but Baker jumps into him and heads the ball out of his hands into the net, the goal is disallowed. C/U man in crowd. Various shots of Scotland attacking, St. John kicks towards the goal, Law races after it and Springett runs out of goal and dives to take it away from Law. M/S of the crowd.
M/S Scotland kicking off the second half, the ball goes to Law who starts to run towards the goal, he passes to Weir. Law gets the ball again but it misses the goal. M/S crowd. The ball goes to Armfield who kicks up the field. M/S Charlton coming in from the left wing, he is brought down inside the penalty area. C/U man in crowd. M/S Charlton running up to take the penalty kick he does so and the ball goes into the net for the equaliser. Various shots of the match in progress. Charlton takes another penalty, but the referee orders it to be taken again. Charlton kicks it and it goes wide. Various shots as the match continues. M/S from behind Springett as he saves a goal. Final score 1 all.
